About brand
The unmatched quality and durability of Makita products is driven by the company’s strong R&D capabilities, and have earned the trust of professional users worldwide.
This is a huge improvement over a previous Hunter circular saw I had. I use it with the Kreg Accu-Cut and find it lightweight, relatively quiet, precise and conveinient. Would recommend it to anyone. Of course you are limited by battery life which is quite long but not endless.

Used for roofing. The hanging hook is perfect for the top of a scaff pole. Makita all the way.
wITH A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY THIS SAW IS GREAT, NO WIRES TO GET CAUGHT UP IN AND THE BATTERY LIFE IS REASONABLE. i USE BOTH 3 AMP AND 5 AMP BATTERIES. YOU CANNOT REALLY GO WRONG WITH MAKITA. I USED TO BE A TOOL HIRE MANAGER AND WE ONLY HIRED MAKITA, THAT GIVES YOU SOME IDEA OF THE QUALITY AND RELIABILITY.THE SAW IS QUIETER THAN THE ELECTRIC EQUIVALANT AND THE BLADE STOPS PRETTY QUICK WHEN SWITCHED OFF. MNOSDT TRADES PEOPLE HAVE SWITCHED TO BATTERY POWER NOW FOR THE FLEXIBILITY IT GIVES AND THE FREEDON OF MOVEMENT

Was unsure about left handed saw but works brilliantly. Ripped 2" depth of treated C24, 2.4 metres long, and kept up power throughout.
