Stanley FATMAX FIXED BLADE UTILITY KNIFE
Description
The Stanley STA0-10-780 fixed blade knife comes with 5 new FatMax blades. It has a magnetic nose which stops the blade from falling out for easier changing, blade clamp for heavy-duty applications and a push button blade door release for quick and easy blade change.
There is also an auto rise blade storage holder that presents 1 blade for changing, a hardened steel wear plate in the nose which prolongs the useful life of the knife. In addition, this blade knife has a thumb pad for comfort and the ergonomic cutting angle makes it ideal for flooring applications.
The Stanley Works, originally a bolt and door hardware manufacturing company located in New Britain, Connecticut; was founded in 1843 by Frederick T. Stanley. A few years later, in 1857, Fredericks cousin, Henry Stanley, founded The Stanley Rule and Level Company. In 1920, The Rule and Level Company merged with The Stanley Works and would go on to become its famous Hand Tools Division.

Whenever I buy a joint of pork I am always scrabbling around to find my stanley knife and can never find it. So I bought this because of its size and colour. Only problem is that because of Covid I haven't had a pork joint since I bought it. But one thing is certain, I am not going to lose it in the drawer.

The knife arrived on time and with instructions on how to work out properly how to use. The blades are neatly stored inside the knife and the mechanism to get in and out if very effective. I have used it and it really does its job.Great product and great price.

Great for cutting plasterboard as you can make the blade stick out further than most knives , meaning it's easier to hold your tape against it.Would of given it 5 stars but it nearly took my eye out! Was cutting through something tough and the blade shot out of the knife cutting my finger quite badly in the process and flew across the room. I think perhaps I hadn't tightened the spring loaded release properly so you just have to be careful to do that fully every time
