The Makita 5008MGAJ Circular Saw is extremely lightweight and easy to use thanks to the magnesium die-cast base, blade case and safety cover coupled with the ergonomically designed rubberised non-skid elastomer handles. The 5008MGAJ/1 has a powerful 1,800 watt motor, electric brake, maximum cutting depth of 75.5mm (largest cutting capacity in it's class), bevel adjustment with positive stops at 22.5, 45 and 50° and a built in twin LED, which brightly illuminates the blade and cut line for easy cutting of the workpiece. For increased visibility the machine has a blower function - The air from the end of the top guide blows sawdust off the line ahead. The easy to read depth scales are calibrated for accurate cut of depth adjustment.
