Description
This Makita DCE090ZX1 Brushless Cut Off Saw features a powerful brushless motor, and requires two 18v LXT Li-Ion batteries. There's plenty of safety features, including an electric brake, soft start, battery cover to protect the battery during wet cutting, a lock-off button, and Active Feedback Sensing Technology which shuts down the current to the motor if the rotation speed suddenly slows down.

Awesome bit of kit…. Cuts roof tiles easy, around 45 mins work time from 2 18v 5ah batteries

I have so far used it for cutting up Yorkstone blocks, paving stones, as well as denser concrete paving slabs. Having owned 1990's Stihl stone saw previously, this is just as powerful really and had no problem cutting through anything I asked it to. Much less temperamental than my old Stihl too. Would never go back to petrol saw now.For stone, you will need to buy a diamond tipped disc. Rolson disc from Amazon is cheap and did the job perfectly.
