This Makita 18v Li-ion reciprocating saw model is powered by one 18V Li-ion battery. The reciprocating saw also has a tool less blade clamp which makes swapping out blades both safer, as you dont get your hands too close to the machinery and makes it incredibly quick and easy, upping efficiency. The lock off lever feature makes using the saw much easier as this lock off feature means continuous use without a constant pressure on the trigger.The electric brake is a great safety feature that cuts out the motor when the trigger is released. The variable speed control feature on this 18v saw has two switch levers to make operation easier and versatile, having them in two different areas on the tool, this clear layout makes it impossible to confuse the control triggers function.. Ergonomic design of this Makita 18v saw lessens the fatigue of the user, it has a rubberised shapely handle for continuous even tight grip. This Li-ion reciprocating saw has a newly designed crank mechanism to up efficiency of this model for a longer shelf life. It has been developed with up to 2800 strokes per minute and is capable of cutting through 130mm mild steel pipe.
- Tool less blade clamp: For this Makita reciprocating saw blade no tools are needed to clamp the blade into the tool, it is secured to the shaft assembly. To use this blade clamp, just press up on the black lever insert the blade and it is locked in the clamp. Simply turn to remove the blade.
- Lock-off lever: This Makita power tool has a new lever design that includes a trigger switch with a sliding lock off function for longer, continuous use with reduced fatigue for operator convenience
- Electric brake: The 18v reciprocating saw has electronic brake control, so the motor will stop and cut out as soon as the trigger is released. This allows the power tool user to have complete control when on the job.
