The Makita 18v LXT Li-ion Brushless Cordless Reciprocating saw is a sub-compact solution for cutting and demolition applications. This Makita Li-ion brushless reciprocating saw is equipped with Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™), which is engineered for improved dust and water resistance for operation in harsh conditions. Other features include a variable speed trigger and lock-off button and a rubberised soft grip handle provides for increased comfort on the job.

- Tool less blade clamp: For this Makita reciprocating saw blade no tools are needed to clamp the blade into the tool, it is secured to the shaft assembly. To use this blade clamp, just press up on the black lever insert the blade and it is locked in the clamp. Simply turn to remove the blade.
- Reinforced fixed shoe: for added durability The shoe on this mini-saw is adjustable, which allows greater access to different areas of the blade and can extend the blade's life. It can be used to pin down flexible material, like sheet metal, while cutting.
- Electric brake: The 18v reciprocating saw has electronic brake control, so the motor will stop and cut out as soon as the trigger is released. This allows the power tool user to have complete control when on the job.
