Description
The Makita DUM111ZX is a cordless and agile LXT 18V grass shear. Its ergonomic design and lock-on function make for comfortable use, whilst the 3-stage cutting height allows you to refine your lawn. This clever machine also has an interchangeable blade function which means you can select the grass shearing blade or the hedge trimmer blade.

I bought into the Makita 18V cordless family. I already had the drill, the chainsaw and tyre inflator. I have a small hedge at the front of the house, about 7 metres long by a metre high and I use the hedge cutter attachment on it. Easy one handed operation and it keeps the hedge trimmed a treat. Not used the grass cutter attachment. If I had a bigger hedge I'd move up to a larger hedge cutter but as it is this does the job superbly

A nice bit of kit that works with my Makita batteries. The only problem is that the instructions about how to change the blade to the shears were pretty useless. After trying to follow the instructions, I realised that they were wrong and used common sense instead. After that I fitted the shears easily and they worked really well.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Previously used a strimmer or hand shears but this glides through the grass where the mower can’t get way easier. No more changing strimmer wire and no more cables. Strimmers also damage any wood they hit. This is so light and easy to use and cuts easy. Great delivery from UK Planet Tools too.Don’t forget this does not include a battery it’s the bare unit.
