This professional grade power tool from Makita's new XGT range gives you a 30cm long chainsaw on the end of a pole that can extend up to a total maximum length of approximately 4 metres. It operates from a single 40Vmax XGT Lithium-ion battery pack but is supplied with two which each have a capacity of 2.5 Amp-hours.
The pole saw is supplied with everything you need to get going including bar oil for the automatic oiler, the 30cm bar, compatible chain, tool, bar cover, and even a chain sharpening tool from Oregon. There is also a harness that makes it easier to manage the weight of the machine.
The head of the saw where the chain and bar attach is slimline, making it easy to manoeuvre in and around branches. The rear of the head has a branch hook that allows you to pull down branches that you have already cut.

- Low Profile Head: The slim design of the saw head allows for easier maneuverability and access when cutting in dense branches.
- Branch Hook: An integrated hook at the base of the saw head helps pull down cut branches from the tree.
- Automatic Chain Lubrication: Features an adjustable automatic oiling system for continuous lubrication, with a large, transparent oil tank for easy monitoring of oil levels.
- Tool-less Pole Extension: Allows for quick and easy adjustment of the pole length without needing tools.
- Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT): A safety feature that automatically shuts down the motor if the rotation speed suddenly slows down or stops, reducing the risk of kickback.
- Battery Protection System: Automatically shuts off power when the battery level is low, preventing over-discharge and extending battery life.
- Electric Brake: Provides increased safety by quickly stopping the chain rotation when the trigger is released.
- Wet Guard / IPX4 Water Resistance: Offers increased protection against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for use in light rain or damp conditions.
- Anti-Fall Captive Nuts: Prevents the loss of nuts when replacing the guide bar or chain.
