Description

NWS N1343-49-VDE-160-SB side cutters are designed to cleanly cut cables and are manufactured from corrosion resistant, oil-hardened steel for strength and durability. The cutters have a sharpened cutting edge for precision cuts and cushioned ergonomic grips for comfortable prolonged use. They can also be used to cut M 3.5 screws and have been individually tested in a water bath at 10,000 volts to ensure safe working at the permitted 1,000 volts.

  • The N134-49-VDE-160-SB are Electrician’s Side Cutters for cutting hard and soft wires.
  • Cutting edge hardness approx. 62 HRC,Cutting edges inductively hardened, Precision cutting edge for the finest wires.
  • The pliers in the 49 VDE series are subjected to regular inspections by VDE, the Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies, to ensure the very high standards of safety that are required when working on “live” electrical components.
  • To enable strain-free, concentrated working over longer periods of time, the handles are non-slip and safe thanks to the SoftGripp sleeves and fit snugly in the hand due to the ergonomically designed soft zones.
  • The pliers are drop-forged tool steel and are oil hardened.
  • The cutting edges of all these cutting tools are induction-hardened to ensure they are able to cope with the needs of professionals in industry and the trades.
