Description
Intumescent hinge pads are an essential requirement when fitting hinges to fire doors as they seal any gaps in the rebate and prevent the transfer of heat from the hinge to the door and frame in the event of a fire. One intumescent hinge pad should be fitted beneath each hinge leaf.
Safe to handle - contains no fibres of irritants
1mm thick - minimal rebating required
Very flexible and easy to work with - will bend without breaking
Easy to cut to shape with standard scissors
Unaffected by moisture, humidity, atmospheric pollution and other common industrial and household chemical substances
