TIMCO HW45B wing-tip screws are self-drilling fixings designed for attaching timber to heavy section steel up to 12mm. The winged design reams the timber as the screw starts, helping it run at higher RPM while reducing heat build-up in the wood.

As the screw reaches the steel, the wings are designed to break off so the thread can self-tap into the metal for a secure steel-to-timber fixing. This 5.5 x 45 size is supplied as a 200 piece pack for repeat installations and site work.
