The Knipex Pliers Wrench XL acts as pliers and a wrench in a single tool. This unique installation tool is suitable for opening widths up to 85mm (3.3/8in). It acts as an adjustable tightening tool and is ideal for large screw joints, with pressure-sensitive surfaces such as plastic, copper, brass, stainless steel and chrome.

It is also excellent for gripping, holding, pressing and bending workpieces. It has smooth jaws, for damage free installation of quality union joints made from brass, red brass or stainless steel. The zero backlash jaw pressure prevents damage to edges of sensitive components.

The tool allows adjustment at the touch of a button directly on the workpiece, The parallel jaws give a more solid grip. The construction gives infinite adjustment of all widths up to the specified maximum size.

The pliers wrench ensures reliable catching of the hinge bolt with no unintentional shifting. The action of the jaws allows quick tightening and release of bolted connections using the ratchet principle. It has a lever transmission greater than 10:1 for strong gripping power.

The pliers wrench is made from chrome vanadium electric steel, which is forged and oil-hardened. It conforms to DIN ISO 5743.
