Back in February, UK Planet Tools celebrated its 12th anniversary. Cause to celebrate indeed!
This has been an occasion to recognise not only where we are now, but also how we got here, and from relatively small beginnings too.
Our story starts in North London, where in 2010 we began selling materials to the local building trade. Such was our success that it wasn’t long before we needed bigger premises, and in 2014 we moved to the dynamic, expanding city of Milton Keynes.
Big changes followed. In addition to building materials, we started selling hand tools and power tools to the trades and to DIYers. Our expertise meant that we then became authorised dealers for some of the biggest names in the tool business, among them DeWALT, Makita, Milwaukee and Bosch. Launching our website in 2016 was the next big step, enabling us to sell our products online and to become one of the UK’s biggest independent tool retailers. |

As our experience grew, so did our insight – insight that in 2017 prompted us to launch our very own brand: TOUGH MASTER®. This expanding line includes high-quality corded power tools, storage and garden equipment, the proud result of our many years of customer knowledge and product experience.
The year 2022 finds us stronger and bigger than ever before. Thanks to our most recent expansion, we can now proudly state that we have over 65,000 square feet of warehouse space, aided by a state-of-the-art stock system and cutting-edge logistics. We sell 5,000 products to our many customers located throughout the UK, and who represent every trade, including general construction, automotive, woodworking and electrical.
Our 12th anniversary, though, is more than just a celebration of our company milestones. It’s a celebration of all of our team members working here in Bletchley and at our offices in Ukraine and Lithuania to create the successes of which we are so proud. Our 70 team members include experts from all backgrounds and nations who share a common vision: to serve our customers’ needs with the best tools at the very best prices.
With our common vision and dedication, UK Planet Tools looks forward to more and more achievements and successes to celebrate.
